What is HYROX
HYROX is a fitness race designed for participants of all fitness levels. The race consists of a series of challenges that combine running with functional movements, providing a full-body workout and testing both endurance and strength.
Here’s how the HYROX race unfolds: The race starts with a 1 km run, followed by the first of eight functional movements. Once the athletes finish the first functional movement, they transition back to another 1 km run before moving on to the next functional movement station. This pattern repeats itself for a total of eight rounds, with each round featuring a different functional movement. Athletes are challenged to complete each round as quickly as possible while maintaining proper form and technique.
The eight functional movements are: Ski - Sled Push - Sled Pull - Burpee broad jumps – Row - Farmer carry - Sandbag lunges - Wall balls.
